Talk to the office

For enrolment, absences, tours, or anything at all — the office is open 8:30am to 4:00pm on school days and would rather hear from you early.

How to reach us

Reporting an absence

Please call the office before 9:30am, or send a message through Compass. If attendance is becoming difficult for any reason, tell us early — we would much rather help than follow up.

Who to ask

The fastest way to the right person

The office can direct anything, but going straight to the right place usually saves you a day.

Anything about your child’s learning

Start with the classroom teacher. They know where your child is up to and can usually answer on the spot. Ask the office to pass on a message and they will arrange a time to talk — teachers are with students during the day.

Wellbeing, friendships, the yard

The classroom teacher first, then the Assistant Principal if it needs more. Tell us early rather than waiting for it to resolve itself — a small thing at week two is much easier to help with than the same thing at week eight.

Absences and late arrivals

Call the office before 9:30am or send a message through Compass. Late arrivals sign in at the office. Extended absences for family travel should be discussed with the principal in advance.

Enrolment and tours

The office books tours and handles enrolment applications. Tours are walked by the principal and run weekly at 10:00am — call to find a time that suits you.

Uniform, canteen and payments

The office. Uniform price lists and supplier details, canteen menus and ordering, excursion payments and permission forms all come through there.

Out of School Hours Care

OSHC is run on site by TheirCare, and bookings, fees and account queries are managed directly with them rather than through the school office.

Visiting

When you come to the school

Kismet Park is on McEwen Drive in the Gum Tree Hills estate, in an established part of Sunbury about 40 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. There is street parking around the school; at drop-off and pick-up it fills quickly, so allow a few extra minutes at those times and please park clear of driveways and crossings.

All visitors sign in at the office, including parent helpers and anyone collecting a child during the day. It is a child-safety requirement in Victorian schools rather than a formality, and it means we always know who is on site. You will be given a visitor badge to wear while you are here.

If you need an interpreter to speak with us, tell the office and we will arrange one — there is no cost to families for this. If you have accessibility requirements for a visit, let us know beforehand and we will make sure the route and the room work for you.
